What an amazing season so far! The season started not the way I wanted, but the City Events and Semmering changed everything. Finally, I won my first World Cup race there and then I won again in the Munich city race. City Events are awesome! It was an incredible week with lots of emotions and even some tears of joy.
After that I did not finish in Zagreb and Flachau although I had a really good run going in Flachau. But that’s slalom. It can happen basically 60 times in a run. However, even though I finished fourth place in Maribor I was happy with the day. Sure, I was a bit disappointed because I missed the podium by only 1/100 of a second but that’s life. Moscow was quite an experience and I am happy with my 2 nd place.
I love racing all of the City Events and I think FIS should do more of them and even give a unique globe for it. These should not count towards the Slalom World Cup the way it does this year even though I am the biggest beneficiary at the moment. I think I am speaking for most of the athletes here. We love the event but FIS should really think about it and make it right. The City Events are for the tech skiers and the fans, but it is not a regular slalom.
Currently I am on my way to Roma where I will do some physical preparation for the World Champs. On the 5th I will be at ISPO in Munich for some of my sponsors like Shred! Right after that I will start with my preparation on the hill for the
Champs in Schladming.
Keep your fingers crossed and thanks for your support!
